Attentive Mobile
SMS Client Work
At Attentive, I designed sign-up units for hundreds of e-commerce brands across a variety of different verticals. These sign-up units help convert web, email, and social media traffic into valuable email and SMS subscribers for our clients. We provide three primary types of sign-up units, each with their own slight stylistic variations: mobile units, desktop units, and responsive landing pages. When mocking up sign-up units for our clients, there are a few important things to consider: the unit must have a clear call to action, adhere to ADA and TCPA compliance requirements, and fit seamlessly within the client’s branding, matching colors, fonts, imagery, and general visual language. Once the client approves our mock-ups, we will then build out these units in Attentive’s UI for display on the client’s website.

Native, Branded Experience
We offer two types of sign-up units for customers browsing on mobile devices: fullscreen sign up units (left) and partial sign up units (right). This is typically the first thing a customer will see upon entering a client’s site, so it’s especially important that these sign-up units match each brand’s unique visual aesthetic.
Instagram Story
We also design custom Instagram Stories so that clients can advertise their SMS programs on social media. Design-wise, the Instagram story is laid out pretty similarly to our mobile sign-up units, as they prioritize the incentive/call to action in terms of visual hierarchy and they have similar legal requirements. When the user interacts with the Instagram story, they will be led to a Responsive Landing Page, where they can opt-in to receive email and/or SMS messages from the client.
Desktop Sign Up Unit
Similar to the mobile version, we offer two variations on our desktop sign-up units: the split-screen unit and the floating unit. In the split screen unit, the imagery is separate from the incentive, input fields, and CTAs, while in the floating unit, the brand’s imagery is integrated into the rest of the content. For consistency, we try to have our desktop sign-up units match the aesthetic of the corresponding mobile sign-up units.
Responsive Landing Page
The last type of units we build are responsive landing pages, which are Attentive-hosted URLs intended to help clients collect new SMS subscribers in offsite places. These landing pages can be linked in emails, social media accounts, and even physical assets such as flyers and advertisements. Using features within our builder and custom CSS, we can ensure that the designs adapt to fit the size of the screen they’re being viewed on.
